My grandfather moved the house to this property with the help of some his brothers in 1969. He was a maintenance manager for a larger factory in our hometown. When another outfit bought them out he asked for a nickel raise. They refused and he quit, moving on to start a livestock hauling company that commissioned the first triple axel cow pot. In doing that he always said he tripled that nickel.

My wife and I bought the place about 10 years ago from my Grandma and we finished raising 2 kids here. With my wife's Czech/Germanic heritage and my sides Norwegian/Germanic/Irish heritage we kinda of got back to our roots.
